Riello UPS announces the release of the new 500 kVA model in its NextEnergy family, capable of powering and protecting parallel systems up to 4 MVA of power.
NextEnergy NXE 500 kVA
The new 500 kVA version, like the rest of the NextEnergy family, is a three-phase UPS that uses the most innovative transformer-free double conversion ON LINE technologies, with IGBT converters and three-level control.
The NextEnergy (NXE) range offers extremely high energy efficiency - the highest levels on the market - and a low operating cost to meet the power requirements of the future.
The NextEnergy features various operating modes to ensure optimized energy consumption, such as the ECM (Efficiency Control Mode) system, which enhances efficiency in parallel systems according to the power required at that time.
Flexible and resilient range
The option to choose between four different power sizes makes the NextEnergy family ideal for satisfying the most stringent availability needs of Mission Critical applications, such as those of modern Data Centers, for which a reliable and protected power supply is essential to guarantee Business Continuity.
NextEnergy NXE 250-300-400-500 kVA
The cutting-edge technologies used in the production of the NextEnergy range guarantee "best in class" performance:
- unity power factor which guarantees kW = kVA
- ability to power critical loads up to 40 °C without any power derating
- extraordinary system efficiency: NextEnergy guarantees up to 97% in double conversion mode (ON LINE), with an increase to over 99% in ECO Mode or SMART ACTIVE modes.
ACTIVE ECO mode
This mode ensures lower energy consumption and avoids the need for power factor correction systems. The load is powered by the bypass line, therefore at very high efficiency up to 98.5%, while at the same time also working as an active filter to reduce the current harmonics produced by the users and increase the power factor towards the input network.
Maintenance costs are reduced and the operating life of the UPS maximised thanks to the intelligent ventilation control system that constantly adapts to the level of the load applied, leading to a smart cooling system.
NextEnergy is also able to operate with or without a neutral line: this reduces of the installation costs of the distribution system because it can be used, for example, in modern Data Centers or in systems that do not use the line of the neutral.
Static or dynamic peak shaving function
NextEnergy guarantees a better adaptation to power supply networks with reduced capacity or to cheaper generators because of its "Peak Shaving" function that can supply any additional power required by using batteries.
Full accessibility from the front of the UPS (for maintenance activities) and a front to top ventilation system ensure optimal use of floor space.
The UPSs can therefore be installed back-2-back or against the wall.
In addition, as with all other models of the NextEnergy family, the cable entry from above or below eliminates the need for expensive and bulky accessory cabinets.
